Few months after the launch of higher-end RTX 2080 Ti, 2080 and 2070 graphics cards, NVIDIA is here with GeForce RTX 2060. Jensen Huang, Nvidia CEO announced the new GPU during his CES keynote. Huang at the event also revealed that the card was powering a Battlefield V demo showing off real-time ray tracing.

Nvidia has unveiled RTX 2060, 2070, and 2080 as the successors to the GeForce GTX 1060, 1070, and 1080 for the laptops. And to renew to Max-Q branding, RTX 2070 Max-Q and RTX 2080 Max-Q will supplant the GTX 1070 Max-Q and 1080 Max-Q, respectively.

After RTX 2080 was unveiled by Nvidia earlier for desktops, Dell was the first to jump in on Turing. This affirms that the OEM will again be one of the first to offer a laptop with Turing graphics.

Dell Alienware m15, which is not more than half a year old will be carrying RTX 2060, RTX 2070 Max-Q, and RTX 2080 Max-Q GPU SKUs soon. This latter option is notable because the original Alienware m15 capped out at the GTX 1070 Max-Q only.

Besides the new GPU that Nvidia has announced, a higher-end Core i9-8950HK CPU and 500-nit 4K UHD HDR400 IPS panel will also be made available. Now the question is how much of a GPU boost we can expect from the device, which will be answered soon when we will get our hands on the device.

There have been reports that the chassis of the 2019 Alienware will be similar to the 2018 model and the most notable part of the laptop will be for sure its GPU.

The Alienware m15 with mobile Turing will be launched by the company on January 29th and will be available at a starting price tag of $1580.

Both m15 and the Alienware m17 will kick off a new generation of ultra-thin Alienware laptops.
